Norberto da Rocha Keppe discovered that the natural elements in the human psychic structure are love, which he calls the only true feeling, and reason, which he calls true intelligence. United, they form a vector of psychological and physical energy in both the personal and social aspects of a person´s life. Psycho-physical health, then, would be the result of the processing of this energy through the psychic life.
According to Keppe, negative emotions are caused by an inner vibration* that is out of harmony with the vibrations of love. This makes self-knowledge difficult and leads to psycho-neuro-immunological disorder. Fear, anger, anxiety are examples of emotions that make difficult or impede the inner harmony of consciousness and generate pathological reasoning, destructive actions and physical, psychological and social disease.
In the same manner, when intelligence becomes disconnected from love (ethics), the results are intellectualization, fantasy, ideas that are outside justice and reality, lies and theoretical and destructive systems of thought. One example of this can be seen in our economic systems which focus only on profit even while leading to the destruction of the planet and humanity.
True thought goes hand in hand with ethics (love). Reason, therefore, is synonymous with love and not opposed to it. Love must be supported by reason to be true and successful.
Therefore, in accordance with Keppe´s discoveries, we can conclude that a successful individual is the one who seeks to unite love with reason. This is a person who would always look to see that his or her actions pass through this filter: does what I want to do fit with my reason, or is what I´m thinking in accordance with love and goodness? If I answer in the negative to either of those questions, it shows me that what I want to do is destructive. And if the answer is positive, then what I am thinking to do has a great chance of success.
*Internal Vibration: is the intensity of oscillation of the two components of attraction and repulsion around the neutral center of the essential energy that forms a given being, however, determined by the psychic state of the same. A being can have a human essential vibration, but lower it by pathology and thus have its internal vibration lowered in relation to its substantial vibration, originally received from the Creator.
